Jakyia is a graduate of McKinley Technology High School in Washington, DC. Her father Emelio Williams works as a Laborer at L on Liberty. Jakyia is a sophomore at Morgan State University, majoring in Multiplatform Productions (or digital content creation) which is about putting the right content on the right platform for the right audience. She is gaining firsthand valuable experience in the world of audio visual by dedicating her summer to the Atlas Art Center in N. E. Washington, DC.
Jakyia is thrilled. She says “being in a program like this is truly a blessing. Mr. and Mrs. Hamel are very special people.”
