Tideland Construction & Petroleum, a division of Hamel Builders, Inc., is a well-established Eastern North Carolina general contractor specializing in fuel systems and commercial construction.

We are seeking a motivated, safety-focused Petroleum Equipment Service Technician / Field Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team working in Greenville, NC, and surrounding area. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of fuel dispensers and petroleum equipment throughout the region.

What You’ll Do

As Petroleum Equipment Service Technician / Field Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance & repair of fuel dispensers and petroleum equipment across company locations.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems
  • Perform testing, maintenance, and repair of leak detection and monitoring systems
  • Conduct compliance inspections at gas station and convenience store locations
  • Coordinate with site managers to schedule service calls, repairs and work order completion
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and completed work orders
  • Ensures all work is completed in accordance with company policies and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of parts, tools and materials needed for daily operations

 


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Petroleum Equipment Service Technician / Field Operations Specialist or Assistant

  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple trades and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and schedule adherence

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach


Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain inventory and track parts/material usage accurately
  • High attention to detail with strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Experience in petroleum equipment service, construction, electrical systems, or a related trade preferred
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Willingness to travel as projects require
  • Must be based in or willing to work throughout the Greenville, NC area
