Hamel Builders, Inc. is a well-established mid-Atlantic general contractor specializing in large-scale multifamily construction. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on complex construction projects throughout the Raleigh, NC region.

This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who thrives on organization, accountability, and teamwork, and who takes ownership of jobsite execution, safety, quality, and schedule performance.


What You’ll Do

As Superintendent, you will be responsible for the setup, coordination, and daily management of all on-site construction activities, working closely with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, subcontractors, and ownership teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing jobsite setup and daily administration of all field activities

  • Monitoring, enforcing, and updating construction schedules

  • Managing and coordinating day-to-day activities of employees, subcontractors, and vendors

  • Coordinating material deliveries and maintaining accurate material control logs

  • Inspecting work to ensure quality, proper installation, and compliance with contract documents

  • Monitoring and enforcing quality control standards

  • Implementing and managing completion of final punch lists

  • Managing and enforcing jobsite safety compliance, including follow-up on violations

  • Maintaining accurate daily field reports

  • Reviewing subcontractor and vendor payment requests in coordination with project management

  • Conducting weekly subcontractor meetings with trade foremen to review schedule, safety, and coordination issues

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with Owners, tenants, Architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and prospective clients


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent on multifamily or large-scale construction projects

  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple trades and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and schedule adherence

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach


Qualifications

  • Extensive construction experience required (multifamily preferred)

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules

  • Willingness to travel as projects require

  • Must be based in or willing to work throughout the Raleigh, NC area
